Thankful

I started out today super bummed out because I have inherited the plague (yes, I am being dramatic) from my work. Shortly after having a pity party for myself, I heard the news of the shooting in Connecticut. Talk about putting things in perspective…

I just want to say that my heart goes out to all of you affected in any way by these events. It is sickening. You will be in my prayers.

Instead of focusing on the sad, I feel that my heart needs to focus on the good going on all around. So, it’s time for what I’m thankful for!

This man.

My world. My partner in crime. My best friend ever. Love you so much.

My family.

No matter how many miles separate us, I thank God for each and every one of my family members every single day.

My new Seattle friends.

You guys have made me feel so welcome here. I seriously look forward to all our get togethers, runs, convos, races, etc. I’m so thankful I have met each and every one of you.

My health.

Because my body puts up with my antics and stays healthy, I am able to pursue so many things I love. Running, spinning, shopping… And so much more

My job.

I freaking love my job and the people I work with. I feel so blessed to go to work everyday doing something I love. And not only that, but my opinions are valued and listened to. It’s such a rare thing and I really value it.

What are you thankful for?

  1. Glad to see some positivity today! 😀

  2. Way to go looking at the positives in your life and not focusing on the bad stuff. There are too many bad things in our broken world to let them bring us down. You made me smile seeing that I made it into 3 of your Seattle friends photos, even if I live in California 🙂

  3. I like this. I’m thankful for our Seattle friends too 🙂

  4. Ditto! Love your list! I am thankful for l of the above. And my baby girl. Love taking time to be thankful for the big and little things in life. I don’t ever want to take this life for granted!

  5. Love your list of things to be thankful for! Yesterday was definitely a sad day, I still can’t watch the news. :/ I am thankful for my family, having a job & a home, being able to buy groceries and things that I need or maybe just want & I am thankful for my health.

  6. This year, I’m most thankful that I finally found a running community that I can meet up with before & after races and whenever else. I’ve been here 4 years and I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I had it back. You ladies are all awesome & amazing! Now that I’m done with classes, I hope to get out to more things so I can see you all more often! Seagull fishing 4-ever!

  7. LOVE this post so much! And thanks for including me in one of your pictures 🙂
